Connect

The first Connect at Celebration Cedar Park was an incredible win! We had 26 people attend last Sunday. Connect is the first step on the Celebration Church Growth Track where attendees can learn more about the church's history, beliefs, and what it means to be a member. These lucky folks enjoyed a delicious lunch and got to meet Senior Pastors Joe and Lori Champion in person and hear their personal testimony.

Other Upcoming Growth Track events include:

Encounter: Nov 14th 9am-3pm at the Georgetown campus (Pre-Encounter on Nov 11th)

Grow: Nov 15th @12:30pm in Cedar Park

Serve: Nov 22nd @12:30pm in Cedar Park

Visit http://www.celebrationchurchtx.com/about-us/get-started/ for more information about the Growth Track.

Just being neighborly!

This week, we are asked to think of a neighbor or someone who works in our local area who we can bring to Celebration Cedar Park. We want to not only *invite* people, but *compel* them to come. What can they expect? Powerful worship, a life-giving message from Senior Pastor Joe Champion, and great programs for kids.

First time guests get a special gift after service, along with an opportunity to meet Campus Pastors Greg & Stacy Allen. In addition, we will be having our very first Connect class at Celebration Cedar Park this Sunday, November 1st at 12:30pm. Come hear more about our church’s history, beliefs, and DNA. Childcare and lunch are provided at no cost.
What else?
Our Halloween Outreach is this Saturday, October 31st. Several homes will be hosting Halloween parties, and tons of families will be handing out Celebration goodie bags. These bags are stuffed with an info card about the church and some good candy – we’re talking the BEST candy!

This is a night when many of our neighbors are out and about and we are encouraged to open our doors, show ourselves friendly, and get to know our community!

Sunday Fun!

Sunday was a beautiful day! The weather could not have been more perfect for a cookout. The kids had a great time playing on the inflatables and everyone enjoyed delicious hot dogs and cookies.
The cookouts are an incredible opportunity for fellowship and getting to know one another better. We are excited for the growth in Celebration Cedar Park as we continue to welcome first-time guests each and every week.

What's next? Cedar Park is hosting its very own CONNECT on Sunday, November 1st at 12:30pm after service. This is a great oppotunity to enjoy lunch and hear more about the DNA and beliefs of Celebration church. We hope to see you there!

Anniversary Weekend

We are celebrating the 9th Anniversary of Celebration Church this weekend. This is always a very special time! We have the opportunity to look back at the incredible growth and development of the church since it was founded by Pastors Joe and Lori Champion in October 2000. There are many accomplishments to celebrate - including the start of our Cedar Park satellite!

Be sure to stop by this weekend, Sunday at 10:45am. Everyone will receive a special "Anniversary Surprise". We will also continue with Small Group sign-ups and much more.

Launch is a Success!

Celebration Cedar Park has experienced an outstanding turnout its first two weekends! We have welcomed both brand new guests experiencing a Celebration service for the very first time, and long-time Georgetown members thrilled to have a Celebration campus closer to home. We were excited to see many of the first-time guests from Sept 20th returning the second weekend with friends and family. We know that the growth will only continue!

Our volunteers had a great time learning the system for setting up our very own "Portable Church" on September 19th. It is amazing how quickly and efficiently the set up and tear down process goes after just two weeks of practice. Our volunteers work hard, but they have a great time doing it, there is always laughter and joking as we literally "build" God's House.

Prayer Meeting

We had an awesome time of prayer last Saturday at Summit Christian Academy. There was a great turnout even though it was early in the morning - 7am on a Saturday - and pouring down rain!

We are blessed to have a great launch team who is willing to go above and beyond for Celebration Cedar Park and making the name of Jesus famous throughout the entire Austin area. They have a "whatever it takes" attitude and come with open hearts, ready to serve.

We continue to pray for an excellent launch this weekend, that our volunteers would be greatly blessed, and that people would flood in to see what Celebration Church is all about and meet Jesus face-to-face on Sunday, September 20th. Please continue to lift up the Cedar Park satellite in your prayers!

Outreach a Success!

Over 25 kids and adults met at "Shakes" in Cedar Park on Sunday evening to venture into the crowds and bless people with Celebration labeled bottle water. We loaded up our ice chests and the back of two cars with hundreds of waters and began walking through the crowds of people who were waiting for fireworks. The temperature was still in the 90s so people were so thankful for a nice drink of water. We set a Celebration record and handed out 600 waters in 30 minutes! At one point, we had people flocking to us asking for water after they saw us walking through the crowds!

It was so much fun to be a blessing to our community. Our kids even helped in the endeavor. Here's one of our Pastor's sons in action:

Tour of Summit

We had a great turnout last night at our second walk through at Summit. Many volunteers attended with their families to tour the campus, get updated, and hear an encouraging word from Pastor Joe.

We are blessed to have such a dedicated and talented launch team (seen here discussing details for Guest Services with Pastor E)! Just 19 days to go before we officially break new ground in Cedar Park and expand the reach of Celebration church across the Austin area.

Small Groups at Celebration Cedar Park

One question we frequently hear is: "Should I sign up for a small group now, or wait?" Anyone is welcome to join any Celebration Church small group, but there will be groups specific to the Cedar Park campus starting up in October.
“We’re Big on Small” at Celebration Church! We want each and every person to get plugged into a small group. In a small group, people can study God’s word together and are in an environment where they can discuss the issues and challenges of life. When people connect through Small Groups, there is life!

Celebration Cedar Park is publishing a catalog of small groups geared towards the Cedar Park campus that will be available starting September 27th. We will be holding “rally days” on September 27th and October 4th to promote the Cedar Park groups, answer questions, and get people signed up. The groups will run October 4th – December 5th. We will take a short break over the holidays and then start up again in January. We can't wait to see what BIG things God is going to do through our SMALL groups!

The Buzz about Cedar Park

The buzz about our new campus has been created already with the people who are joining the launch team. We have had many people who live in Cedar Park, Leander, Steiner Ranch, Lago Vista, Jonestown, Liberty Hill and all surrounding communities contact us saying how excited they are that their commute will be shortened.

As we purpose to make the name of Jesus famous in the Austin area, it is our desire to grow our church beyond the current membership base. Word of mouth is going to be our #1 form of advertising the Celebration Cedar Park Campus! Each of us has influence in our neighborhoods, schools and workplaces. Let’s each do our part in reaching out to those we love and extending an invitation to join us for our first service on September 20th. Our amazing media team has even created some world class deliverables in order to help us look professional in our invitation!

We are ordering flats of water to hand out to the community on some hot days as well as canvassing neighborhoods with door hangers! It’s exciting to think about our grand opening service. Pick up some Cedar Park postcards on Wednesday night to hand out to your friends, family and anyone in your circle of influence and spread the word

Feeding the Faculty

We are 34 days away from the launch of Celebration Cedar Park! Everything we are doing between now and then surrounds building our launch team and getting the word out to our community. We had an amazing opportunity this morning to feed the faculty and staff at Cox Elementary in Cedar Park.

This school is on the same street as Summit Christian Academy, about four miles down! The President of the PTA at Cox, DeAnna Trujillo, attends Celebration Church and she asked us to sponsor this breakfast. We were so happy to participate and had no idea if we would be able to say anything about the church or if it would just be a matter of a one sentence "thanks to Celebration Church for the tacos" inserted at the beginning of the meal (either way would have been fine).
Well, much to our surprise, DeAnna was able to introduce Pastor Greg and give him the floor. He talked about the new campus, gave the start date (September 20th) and service time (10:45am). They even allowed him to pray for the school year, the faculty, the staff, the lunch lady (as we know Pastor Joe would have done:)), as well as any second grade teacher who might have Brett, our son, in her class this year! Cox has a new principal so it was wonderful to meet her and to have the opportunity to thank this school for all of the great things they do. We anticipate a great year ahead!
